IT INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGER
SUMMARY:
The Infrastructure Manager is a hand’s on role to ensure the stable development and operation of the organization’s IT infrastructure. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly network, server and SAN infrastructures, data communications, and telecommunications systems. The Infrastructure Manager will also implement and maintain security policies as set forth by management, direct activities to resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide tactical and strategic input on overall network planning, product selection, business continuity and disaster recovery policies and procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements.
- Design and implement infrastructure for Single Global SAP Instance.
- Administering and supporting Oracle database instances
- Administrator, support, manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all infrastructure systems, including LANs, WANs, SAN, WLAN, Internet, intranet, security implementations to meet corporate objective.
- Conduct feasibility studies for various upgrade projects, improvements, and other conversions.
- Define hardware and software standards in conjunction with owners and stakeholders.
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for infrastructure administration and project management.
- Participate in the development of IT strategies in collaboration with the executive team.
- Test network and server performance and provide performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining and optimizing network infrastructure.
- Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, decision-makers, stakeholders, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent infrastructure activities.
- Assist with the planning and deployment of infrastructure security measures.
- Provides tactical and strategic input on overall network planning, business continuity and disaster recovery.

QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES
- Four-year university degree or college diploma in the field of computer science and/or 7 years equivalent work experience.
- 7 to 10 years experience managing and delivering infrastructure design and operational excellence.
- Exceptional knowledge of service and application delivery in an SAP/ERP environment, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and project management.
- Team player with customer service focus.
- Must be able to utilize experience, judgment, creativity, and flexibility to plan and accomplish goals.
- Strong Windows, UNIX, Active Directory, Exchange, WAN, LAN, and SAN fabrics.
- Strong hands on knowledge of Oracle RDBMS
- Strong hands on knowledge of creating and maintaining high availability environments for business continuity
- Commitment to ongoing training and certifications.
